Golf swing tempo is something every golfer dreams of but most can't even do it consistently. Swinging like Freddie Couples or Ernie Els is not as easy as it looks, but with the right approach, you can get closer to making every swing have better tempo, resulting in more accurate shots that fly longer than usual.

Every body is built different and golf swing tempo will be dictated by this. What I mean is lets say you've got one hyper golfer who does everything fast. He/she talks fast, walks fast, etc...This golfer will have a faster golf swing tempo no matter how hard they try to change it.

Now you've got a mellow golfer. Everything they do is SLOW. They talk slow, they walk slow, everything is SLOW. These golfers have a fantastic chance at good golf swing tempo, unfortunately for most of them it's not happening.

Tempo in your golf swing is related to muscular tension. Muscular tension is related to either tight and weak muscles, or loose and strong muscles. The latter is what you want. If you have golf muscles you've done some stretching on, it's SO EASY to make a smooth, effortless and good tempo swing.

On the other hand if you have tight and weak muscles you'll struggle with tempo forever!
